Camping on the Lamprey River
We are a family-run campground on 93 Lee Hook Road, with 180 acres of woods, field and river to explore in.
No water park, no rows of concrete, just quiet sites, a sandy beach, fish to catch, and neighbors who wave.
Families come for the summer, tenters come for the weekend, and seasonal campers come back year after year for the same site.

Ways To Camp
Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 children under 18 from the same household, 1 RV, and up to 2 vehicles.
Tent Sites
Primitive or water and electric, tucked into the woods.
Fourteen-night maximum.

Family Owned Since 1961
Where It All Began
Wellington Camping Park has been a family-owned and operated destination since 1961, when Gilbert “Duke” Wellington first opened the campground.
In 1968, his wife took over its operation, beginning a tradition of each generation stepping in to care for the park and help it grow.
Their son later continued that work, expanding the campground and adding more campsites for families to enjoy. After his passing, his wife carried the park forward and brought their three sons, Scott, Chris, and Doug, into the family business.
Today, the three brothers proudly operate Wellington Camping Park as the third generation of the Wellington family. The park’s logo is even inspired by a real photograph of their father at the campground, serving as a meaningful connection to the family history behind the property.
More than six decades later, Wellington Camping Park remains a place shaped by family, tradition, and a love of bringing people together outdoors.
